BIOGRAPHY
Rev. Dr. Kenneth McGhee, Jr.
Rev. Dr. Kenneth McGhee, Jr. is the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Red Bank, N.J. Prior to Dr. McGhee’s installation as Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, he served as the Assistant Pastor of the Providence Baptist Church, Cliffwood, N.J. under the leadership of his Senior Pastor the Rev. Dr. Amelda Lee.
At Providence, he served as: the Director of the Music Ministry, Director of the Audio/Visual Ministry, Co-Chair of the Christian Education Ministry, Advisor of the Men’s Ministry, Chair of the FF&E Ministry (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) for the New Sanctuary that Providence is building. He was a Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Advisor of the Youth Ministry, he also served as the Director of the Praise Team, Lead Worship Leader, Co-Chair of the Ministerial Staff. He served as a Sounding Board for his Pastor regarding the various needs of the community, congregation and the business of the church, he was also an Armor Bearer to the Senior Pastor.
Dr. McGhee, is married to the love of his life Robin Lee-McGhee, he is the father of two sons; Andre’ and Noah McGhee. He is the son of Kenneth McGhee, Sr., and the late Cherry L. McGhee. He is the brother of two very anointed and gifted sisters Sherry and Felicia McGhee.
Dr. McGhee received his Doctoral Degree in Ministry and Theology from the Freedom Bible College and Seminary of Siloam Springs, AR and the Eastern Bible Institute of Irvington, NJ. He received his Master’s Degree in Theology from the Heritage Bible College of Dunn, NC and the Faith Deliverance Bible Institute of Perth Amboy, NJ. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from the Lighthouse Christian College and Seminary of Beebe, AR and the Faith Deliverance Bible Institute of Perth Amboy, NJ. He is also a graduate of the Monmouth Bible Institute of Farmingdale, NJ where he received his Certificate in Christian Education.
For 12 years, Dr. McGhee was the Founder and Director of the Fellowship and Praise Community Choir where they have had the privilege of recording with different gospel artist. Dr. McGhee is also the Founder and Director of the Sounds of Judah and currently they have had the privilege of singing for various occasions, celebrations and services.
Dr. McGhee loves teaching and preaching the Word of God. He loves God’s people and he believes that, “You have not gone so far away from God that you can’t come back”. His Passion is to see God’s people discover their gifts and then become active and operate in their gift(s) that the Name of Jesus would be lifted higher, and that God’s church would operate with a Spirit of Excellence in everything they do.
